Phil Bredesen
Former Governor, Tennessee
Phil Bredesen is a former two-term governor of Tennessee, serving from 2003 to 2011. In that role, he spearheaded landmark K-12 and postsecondary public education reforms. Working with the state legislature, Bredesen in 2010 developed the nationally recognized Complete College Tennessee Act, making college completion a top priority for the Volunteer State.
Juliet Garcia
President, University of Texas at Brownsville
Dr. Juliet V. García joined The University of Texas System as the president of The University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) in January 1992 after having served as president of Texas Southmost College (TSC) for six years. When she was named as president of TSC in 1986, she became the first Mexican-American woman in the nation to become president of a college or university.
Jim Geringer

Jim Geringer is fond of saying that he is an engineer by education, farmer by choice and governor by accident. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University that enabled 10 years active and 12 years reserve service in the US Air Force working with unmanned space programs of Air Force and NASA.

Her vision and goal for City Colleges in the 21st century is to build a world-class institution that not only prepares students to move into higher education as she did, but also provides the right skills to be employable.
Woody Hunt
Chairman and CEO, Hunt Companies, Inc.
Woody L. Hunt is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hunt Companies, Inc., and its affiliated companies. He also serves as Chairman of the Hunt Family Foundation, a private family foundation he and his wife Gayle, established in 1987. Mr. Hunt graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, and he subsequently received his MBA in Finance from UT.
William E. “Brit” Kirwan
Chancellor, University System of Maryland
William E. Kirwan, Chancellor of the University System of Maryland since August 1, 2002, is a nationally recognized authority on critical issues shaping the higher education landscape. He served as President of Ohio State University for four years (1998-2002) and President of the University of Maryland, College Park for 10 years (1988-1998).
