For years, Arkansas has had a goal of increasing the attainment rate.  Just this year, a new funding policy for public institutions of higher education was passed.  The new model focuses on the success of students and has three broad goals: efficiency, effectiveness and affordability.

The new model has been in the works for the past two years, when the state’s higher education leaders began developing a master plan. The plan — the first of its kind since at least the late 1980s — seeks to increase the percentage of adult credentialed Arkansans from the current 39.5 percent to 60 percent by 2025.

The strategies of the Game Changers of Complete College America will be implemented or applied more aptly at the institutions that seek to use research-proven methods of graduation improvement.
